Designed to add a modern twist to historical downtown San Antonio, the Real Estate Building courtyard ties together retail and residential areas. The existing streetscape is reimagined as a mixed-use space with green beautification. A wall water element serves as a captivating focal point surrounded by planting areas for bamboo, philodendron, and varying shrubs to add a tropical tone to the space. The geometric entry structure and lighting features tie in the harsh angles of the streetscape while climbing plants are included to soften the concrete surroundings of the inner-city, both working together to create a welcoming ambience for pedestrians.
