The Nexus Neurorecovery Center in downtown San Antonio serves as the only Nexus Health Systems campus in the San Antonio-Austin metroplex. The new location is a remodeled residential building that was formerly a local Ronald McDonald House. The center will provide rehabilitation for people recovering from brain injuries and neurological conditions. The exterior renovations are designed to be not only aesthetically pleasing, but also to foster a healing environment for patients as they return to normal life after suffering neurological trauma. The large backyard features a raised vegetable garden, circular berm trail, and shrub maze, while the courtyard spaces include a zen rock garden, shaded seating, and an artistic water feature.
