Durango Apartments is a mixed-use multifamily designed to elevate the experience of downtown living. The planned San Antonio apartment complex is meant to establish the new norm of sustainable construction with its unique integrated methods of water filtering. Green roofs irrigated by the building’s condensate provide lush plantings in the amenity areas. A rainwater cistern activates an ephemeral water feature along the Cesar Chavez streetscape, creating an interactive experience for pedestrians to connect to the high performing landscape. Along with the sustainable features of the development, the design of the roof deck amenities provide active spaces for the residents to participate in sunrise yoga, swim, watch outdoor movies, and grill all while overlooking both the Tower of the Americas and the Tower Life Building.
