Chenyu grew up in a small town in China nestled in mountainous valleys. After getting a master’s degree in urban design from Washington University in St. Louis, she settled in San Antonio, Texas.

She is very interested in ecology and sustainability, believing that design should not only create a beautiful life for people today, but also respond to future climate change and ecological environment. Therefore, after graduation, she chose to become a landscape designer.

She enjoys traveling to different countries and cities, exploring different landscapes, cuisine, and cultures…or sketching at her apartment and playing with her cat Sesame!
